Hi It's Me!
I can't believe I have my own Blog site! Thanks to Barb! My name is Marissa and I love God's Word and I love God Himself, of course! I am happily married with an amazing guy named, Anthony for 15 yrs., and a proud Mom to Jay, Christian, George and Candice. I have a grandchild named Gidget and I just love her! I love to eat out and travel! My dream is to visit Africa or anywhere God brings me to be a missionary and help the poor!
Today is my first day to blog with you and hope that you will blog with me too!

"What a wonderful God we have - He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the One who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does He to this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us."

And here I thought "being a christian" just means I go to heaven!! Nope! More than just that! Being a christian means loving God and honoring Him. Loving Him and honoring Him so much that we are just dying to serve Him by helping others too!

PRAY FOR ME!
I have accepted a great assignment to counsel at First Choice Women's Resource Center located in Montclair, NJ. After having gone through an extensive training process, I will be starting in September 2006. If you can remember, please pray for me, as I am very nervous about this new job! Can you imagine? Me? Counseling someone? My job is going to be counseling women (mostly young) who are contemplating on whether to have an abortion or not! The center also does ultrasounds and tests for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). What I like about this place is that no one condemns you regardless of your decision! We are just there to love everyone who comes in and asks for help! I can't wait to start but I can use all the prayers I can get! So, I hope you think of me!
